Bears Top Receiver Inactive

CHICAGO (AP) _ Marcus Robinson, the Chicago Bears’ leading receiver with 25 catches this season, was declared inactive for Sunday’s game with New Orleans two days after spraining his left ankle in practice.

Robinson caught TD passes of 68 and 58 yards last week when the Bears beat the Packers at Lambeau Field. Robinson is averaging 16.7 yards per catch this season and has scored four touchdowns. Marty Booker took his place in the Bears’ starting lineup.

Robinson caught 84 passes last season for a club-record 1,400 yards. He was the offensive MVP of NFL Europe in 1998.
