Water main break closes road in Greenwich
GREENWICH — Bad luck came in bucket-loads on Fairfield Road this week, as a water-main break caused a road-closure and traffic delays in the area.
First a car hit a utility pole around 7:45 p.m. Thursday, knocking it down, according to Greenwich police.
“While replacing the pole, a water main was struck and broke,” Greenwich police said.
The water-main break shut the road down between Old Church Road and Hillside Road.
