Little East Conference awards WestConn’s Manion — again

Neve Manion of the Western Connecticut State University field hockey team was named the Goalkeeper of the Week in the Little East Conference for the second consecutive week. The sophomore from Newington made 11 saves and posted a 1.50 goals-against average as WestConn notched conference wins over Bridgewater State and Plymouth State. Manion has led the Colonials to a 5-3 record so far. She leads the LEC in goals-against average (1.01) and save percentage (.867). Her 52 saves are fourth-most in the league.

WestConn is scheduled to host Keene State Tuesday at 6 p.m.
