CHICAGO (AP) _ Chicago Cubs catcher Todd Hundley was fined for missing the team picture Tuesday.
Hundley and reliever Kyle Farnsworth were the only players to miss the picture. But Cubs interim manager Bruce Kimm said Farnsworth was excused because he had a doctor’s appointment.
``Todd’s been fined and that’s pretty much it,″ Kimm said without saying the amount.
Hundley, who set a major league record for catchers with 41 homers in 1996, has struggled since signing a $23.5 million, four-year deal in December 2000 with the Cubs, his father’s old team. He’s hitting .203 with 15 homers and 33 RBIs this season, and has been routinely booed by the Wrigley Field faithful.
