January 12, 2019

If you’re the kind of person who can’t go without a good cuppa Joe -- and who happens to be looking for a new place to live -- the website ApartmentGuide.com has your order.

The site has ranked the 10 Best Cities for Coffee Lovers in America, based on the number of “coffee shops, coffee and tea establishments and cafes” in a city, per resident.

Ranking first is Berkeley, California, which boasts one shop per 2,073 residents. Vancouver, Washington and San Francisco, California were close behind, with one per 2,224 Vancouver residents, and one per 2,297 San Franciscans -- good enough for second and third place.

Rounding out 4 and 5 were Seattle, Washington -- birthplace of Starbucks -- and Portland, Oregon.

Helpfully, the site also logged what the average rent is for a one-bedroom apartment in each city, so you can budget your caffeine expenditures against your other vital living expenses.
