Vermont plans meetings on deer, moose hunts
MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is holding public hearings this spring to discuss deer and moose hunting.
The state will release the results of the deer hunting season and in three northern meetings it will also discuss the moose hunting results and its proposal to not hold a moose hunt this year.
The deer hunting meetings are planned for March 25, at the Rutland High School; April 1 at the Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington; and April 4 at the Riverside Middle School in Springfield. Moose and deer hunting will be discussed March 27 at Montpelier High School; March 28 at the St. Albans Town Education Center; and April 2 at Lake Region Union High School in Orleans.
The hearings run from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
