Camden Mooney, Clemens: senior, defender — Spearheaded a defense that registered back-to-back shutouts vs. New Braunfels and Judson as the Buffaloes retain first place in District 26-6A at the midway point.

Game balls

Madison’s Sarah Sanchez racked up six goals and two assists as the Mavericks dropped MacArthur and South San. She had four goals and an assist vs. MacArthur.

S.A. Christian’s Juliette Wyatt had 20 saves as the Lions defeated Houston Lutheran South and Houston Cypress Christian to advance to the TAPPS Division II state semifinals for the second straight year and the fourth time in five seasons.

Brandeis’ Isabella Benavidez totaled four goals and two assists in wins over Taft and Stevens. She had four goals and an assist vs. Taft.
