Petunias back along Ludington Avenue, near marina
Early Saturday morning volunteers kneeled over the flower beds lining Ludington Avenue. They dug holes for the 30,000 red, white and blue petunias to rest in. Volunteers showed pride for their community by cheerfully working in the chilly, damp weather, and rain or shine, they didn’t mind the work.
The 32nd annual Petunia Parade is a chance for people to show their commitment to their community. Many people have been volunteering at the annual event for years.
