Illinois car museum display Elvis Presley Cadillac
VOLO, Ill. (AP) — A northern Illinois car museum has unveiled a new vehicle that’s fit for a king.
The (Crystal Lake) Northwest Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1Ag6FZC ) the Volo Auto Museum has acquired a 1974 Cadillac that once belonged to Elvis Presley. The museum unveiled the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s 1974 custom-built DeVille station wagon last week.
It’s now on display along with other memorabilia as part of a new all-celebrity exhibit. Museum officials say it’s their way of marking Presley’s 80th birthday, which would have been Jan. 8.
People who visit the museum through January wearing an Elvis costume will have a chance to win $1,000.
Volo is located about 60 miles northwest of Chicago.
