The Appearing

September 26, 2018

Mike Dingman

If someone shared with you that Jesus Christ was coming soon, how would you respond? This answer may be dependent on many factors, one of which is who is sharing this thought. It could be a message during a worship service. It could be elsewhere. Yet, if it was elsewhere, would you be attentive to the question?

Since the beginning of recorded time, cultures across the globe have predicted the end of our world. As global unrest and natural disasters across the planet build in intensity and frequency, many are left wondering if the time is near.

We live in Idaho far from the Carolina states, far from Florence, far from hurricanes. Yes, tornadoes may be a threat in our area, but the frequency and intensity is certainly on a different scale. We may have more concerns with earthquakes and fires.

Yet the question still stands, “How would you respond?” Is this a subject that has been heard repetitively and has lost its intensity due to its frequency? Do we offset the focus of this question until the signs are more relevant? If so, what are the signs of when Jesus is coming again?

A free five-part video of 30 minutes per section led by Shawn Boonstra from the Voice of Prophecy, followed by a short 30 minute discussion led my Pastor Marvin Humbert is scheduled to be shown Thursday, Oct. 11, through Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Pocatello Seventh-day Adventist Church, 253 Valleyview Dr. in Pocatello. Program time begins at 7 p.m. nightly and last only one hour followed by refreshments. Saturday’s program time is 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Join us as we explore the myths and facts that surround the Appearing—an event mentioned over 2,500 times in the Bible.

When Jesus comes again, will your response be accepting or rejecting?

Are you ready?
