Ribbon cutting ceremony at Holy Spirit Catholic School May 21

May 7, 2019

POCATELLO - We are very excited to announce that Holy Spirit Catholic School is having a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the new middle school wing. It will be Tuesday, May 21 at 11 a.m. This will be a community event prepared in conjunction with the Pocatello Chamber of Commerce. Everyone is invited! Please plan to come to participate in the ceremony and to tour the new wing and school campus.

The addition has been a goal since the inception of the middle school program back in 2011. The dream was to have sufficient space to accommodate enrollment growth and to create an optimal learning environment for every student. This ambitious project has exceeded all expectations with spacious and well-designed classrooms, an innovative S.T.E.M. laboratory, ADA accessibility, state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, thoughtful efficiency and a welcoming atmosphere. This impressive new wing enhances our school’s natural beauty, blending a traditional model with modern innovation.

Our heartfelt thanks to our pastor, Fr. Henry Carmona, for his forward-thinking vision, determination to see this project through, focus on detail and wanting the best for our students and staff now and in the future. With gratitude, we also acknowledge the E.L. Wiegand Foundation for awarding our school a generous grant. This grant has allowed us to fill that building with modern furnishings and materials to enhance student learning in a spacious, beautiful teaching atmosphere. We acknowledge an outstanding faculty and staff, especially the core middle school teachers: Peggy Kaiser, Deb Newhouse and Deb Reams. Their creativity, resilience and determination to maintain excellent teaching during this challenging process have been amazing! Our motto this school year has been twofold: “Bring on the Build” and “Go with the Flow!” supporting unity, building comradery and thanking God for all our blessings!

Holy Spirit is a Christ-centered school serving children from 3-years old preschool through 8th grade, also with certified childcare before, during and after school. All faiths are welcome. Please join us on Tuesday, May 21 at 11 a.m. on our campus located at 540 N. 7th Ave. at Wyeth Street.
