Lights out for Broadway Avenue and Center Street signal work
The traffic signal at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Center Street will go dark Monday.
The contractor working on the signal project will disconnect its power to relocate equipment, according to Rochester Public Works. The signal’s power is expected to be out for up to five days.
In Minnesota, a dark signal is treated as an uncontrolled intersection, and vehicles should proceed with caution. Center Street and pedestrian crossings at this intersection will remain closed during the outage.
The southbound lane closure on Broadway Avenue, along with the closures already in place, and the closure of a portion of West Center Street will continue, with the Center Street Parking Ramp being accessed from nearby First Avenue.
