Charlotte Rose, 95, Reedsburg

Charlotte J. Rose, 95, of Reedsburg, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center.

She was born Aug.16, 1923, in Sauk County, the daughter of John and Carrie Mae (Francois) Osborne. Charlotte was an avid quilter and enjoyed gardening, embroidery and her cats. She was also a baseball fan especially for the Milwaukee Brewers. Charlotte will be remembered as a bit of a prankster and for her wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her three children, Duane Rose of Anchorage, Alaska, Diane Deakin of Florida, and Barbara (Dave) Miller of Reedsburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a special niece, Adella (Duane) Lueck; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn (Joan) Meyer; her granddaughter, Tammy Gauff; two brothers, Herbert and William Osborne; and one sister, Wilma (Elmer) Tessmer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, with Pastor Kenneth Schaub officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Reedsburg Food Pantry would be appreciated.
