November 24, 2018

Two employees at a bar in Pittsburgh’s Mt. Washington neighborhood were stabbed by a coworker who had just been fired, police told Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.

The victims were in the midst of telling Jaymar Gilbert, 40, of Garfield that he was fired from his job at Bigham Tavern on Bigham Street when, police say, Gilbert pulled out a knife and stabbed them both, WPXI reported.

The stabbing happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

One of the victims was stabbed in the stomach and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The other was stabbed several times and taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Charges against Gilbert are pending.
