Bay Area Christian topples Schertz John Paul II, 48-7
Bay Area Christian continued its sizzling roll with a 48-7 with over Schertz John Paul II in the TAPPS bi-district football game Friday night at the Bronco field.
The Eagles, who won for the eighth consecutive time, next take on Texas School for the Deaf at 5 p.m., Saturday in Sealy. Texas School for the Deaf (8-3) defeated Northland Christian, 59-21, in its playoff game Friday night.
The Broncos (8-3) led just 14-7 after one quarter before opening a 34-7 halftime lead.
The game then used a running clock in the second half before it was eventually stopped.
Bay Area, which lost its first three games of the season, has picked up steam since then. The Broncos will have a tall order against the Rangers, who have won four straight and are averaging 60 points per game in their last three outings.
