Ludington Fire Department moves into new station

February 20, 2019

The Ludington Fire Department has officially moved into its new 10,000-square-foot fire station at 922 E. Tinkham Ave.

The building passed its final inspection on Friday, then firefighters transferred all their vehicles and equipment out of the former station at 109 S. Robert St. during Saturday and Sunday, said Ludington Fire Chief Jerry Funk.

The moving process went well, and he’s excited for the department to be operating in the new facility, he said.

“We’re happy to be here,” Funk added.
