Burglary At Scranton Roofing Company Ends In Arrest

SCRANTON — A 34-year-old Scranton man kicked in the door to a Green Ridge Street roofing company and stole $22,000 worth of tools and equipment, city police said. Thomas Chapman, 1005 Sterling St., faces charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. Police said that Chapman stole from Keystone Roofing & Contracting on Jan. 19. Detectives Jeff Gilroy and Vince Uher interviewed Chapman on Saturday. Chapman sold the stolen items to area pawn shops, police said. Chapman is in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.
