NCAA three-point record-holder Magee wins SoCon award
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — NCAA career three-point record holder Fletcher Magee of Wofford was named the Southern Conference male athlete of the year.
Magee broke the NCAA mark for career 3-pointers made with 509 over his four years with the Terriers. He also helped Wofford go 30-5 this past season and enter the AP Top 25 for the first time in school history.
Magee led the Southern Conference in scoring at 22.9 points and in made 3-pointers at 5.2 per game.
The Terriers advanced to the NCAA Tournament where they won their first-ever game by defeating Seton Hall 84-68 before falling in the second round to Kentucky 62-56.
Magee, of Orlando, Florida, is part of the Milwaukee Bucks’ summer league team.
