Man who owns house where body was found admits drug activity
BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A Vermont man who owned a house where the body of a missing woman was found last year has admitted he allowed his residence to be used by drug traffickers.
WCAX-TV reports Poultney resident Wayne Oddo pleaded guilty on Friday in federal court in Burlington to making his home available to store, distribute and use heroin.
Oddo allowed two men to stay at his home while he knew they were distributing heroin and cocaine in the Rutland area.
A year ago the body of a 26-year-old drug-overdose victim, Alexandra Rooker, was found on Oddo’s property. Oddo did not call authorities.
Court document filed by Oddo’s lawyer say that the Vermont State Police ignored multiple requests from Oddo to speak to a lawyer. Federal prosecutors never responded to that document.
