The 22-year-old took the lead for the first time after a 20-foot putt for birdie on the 16th hole and stayed steady to post 5-under 67. She won by two strokes over Pornanong Phatlum of Thailand, who started the final round with a one-stroke lead over Hall.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Houston Astros have placed starting pitcher Lance McCullers on the 10-day disabled list with right elbow discomfort. McCullers pitched four scoreless innings last night against the Dodgers but left the game as he warmed up for the fifth inning. Houston activated right-handed reliever Roberto Osuna, who was acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays in a trade-deadline deal last week. He is coming off a 75-day MLB-imposed suspension for violation of the league’s domestic violence policy.
UNDATED (AP) — Right-handers Tyson Ross and Jordan Lyles have been claimed off waivers from the San Diego Padres. The St. Louis Cardinals picked up Ross and the Milwaukee Brewers took Lyles. San Diego promoted right-hander Trey Wingenter from Triple-A El Paso.
PHOENIX (AP) — San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey has returned to the lineup for this afternoon’s series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Posey is batting second and playing first base for the Giants. He missed last night’s game while in concussion protocol after being hit in the mask with a foul ball during Friday’s game.
PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills have activated receiver Zay Jones off the non-football injury list, putting the second-year player in position to practice for the first time this offseason. Jones has been sidelined since mid-May after having surgery on his right knee. Jones also had surgery in January for a shoulder injury that nagged him for most of last year.
