Delek US Holdings: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) _ Delek US Holdings Inc. (DK) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $79.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Brentwood, Tennessee-based company said it had profit of 89 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were $1.03 per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.14 per share.

The refinery operator posted revenue of $2.56 billion in the period.

Delek US Holdings shares have risen 48 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $51.86, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
