October 9, 2018

Two men were arrested early Sunday morning after an altercation at a downtown bar.

Rochester police were called to Legends Bar and Grill shortly after 1:05 a.m. Sunday for a report of two customers assaulting bouncers, according to Lt. Mike Sadauskis. By the time officers arrived, the bouncers had the men in handcuffs with the help of two Minnesota State Patrol troopers.

Kyle Steven Williams, 29, of Minneapolis, might be facing felony charges of terroristic threats and possession of a dangerous weapon and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. Williams allegedly was carrying a hook knife.

Cole Richard McGuire, 22, of Wyoming, Minn., might be facing a felony charge of possession of a dangerous weapon and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. McGuire was allegedly carrying brass knuckles and a hook knife.

The pair allegedly were harassing other customers. One of them also lifted an outer shirt of one of the women working at the bar, Sadauskis said. The bouncers approached Williams and McGuire to have them leave and a struggle ensued. Williams allegedly punched one of the bouncers and threatened to slit one of their throats, Sadauskis said.

The bouncers told officers they believed Williams was part of a prison gang.
