Sri Lanka 60-3 in 19 overs vs West Indies
PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP) — Fast bowler Kemar Roach took 2-19 on Sunday as West Indies limited Sri Lanka to 60-3 off 19 overs before heavy rain ended play in the fifth one-day international of the Celkon Mobile Cup at Queen’s Park Oval.
The match continues Monday.
Jason Holder broke through with the final ball of his second over to remove Upul Tharanga for 7, caught by Darren Bravo at cover.
Roach produced a brutal bouncer to dismiss Mahela Jayawardene for 7 with an easy catch for Devon Smith.
Sri Lanka dipped to 29-3 when a huge off-cutter from Roach bowled Dinesh Chandimal (2).
But lefthanders Kumar Sangakkara (11 not out) and Lahiru Thirimanne (13 not out) shared an unbeaten fourth wicket stand of 31 to stabilize the innings.
