US-Missouri-Child Poverty

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. _ Several studies have found that there has been a slight decline in child poverty in Missouri but the state remains above the national average for the number of people experiencing poverty. UPCOMING: 300 words.

_ FATAL ATV ACCIDENT _ A 37-year-old eastern Missouri man has died after the ATV he was driving struck an animal.

_ POLICE STATION ACCIDENT _ Lee’s Summit police are investigating after a driver crashed into the department’s front lobby.

_ EXECUTIVE-EMBEZZLEMENT _ The chief financial officer for a St. Louis-area company is accused in a federal indictment of embezzling $3.8 million.

_ NAKED BURGLAR _ Police in central Missouri say they have arrested a suspect after reports that a naked man broke into two homes.
