Stamford IT company acquires Singapore firm

January 8, 2019

STAMFORD — IT firm Rizing LLC, which specializes in consulting for SAP-branded enterprise software, has announced it closed on the acquisition of a Singapore-based firm with similar specialties.

Financial terms of Rizing’s purchase of Synchony Global were not disclosed.

The deal strengthens Stamford-based Rizing’s position in the market for “SAP SuccessFactors” cloud software for businesses, company officials said. Synchrony joins several other recently acquired SAP-focused firms in Rizing’s Human Capital Management business, which is also known as Rizing HCM.

“We plan to continue to scale both organically and through acquisition for the next number of years,” Rizing CEO Mike Maiolo said in a statement. “Bringing Synchrony into the Rizing family, with its Asia-Pacific presence, is a natural next step in our growth strategy in the SAP space. The combined entity provides a complementary set of services and geographic coverage which will instantly provide value for our customers.”

With the addition of Synchrony, Rizing HCM counts more than 900 customers. The company said it ranks as one of the world’s largest consulting firms for SAP SuccessFactors services.

Darcy Lalonde, Synchrony Global’s chairman and CEO, will join Rizing HCM as its Asia-Pacific president.

“With Synchrony joining Rizing HCM, we are excited to deliver Synchrony’s award-winning solutions on a global scale to organizations of all sizes, while providing clients worldwide our implementation capabilities, product and industry expertise and a full suite of ‘Ongoing Platform Support’ and continuous improvement services,” Lalonde said in a statement.

Rizing employs nearly 1,000 worldwide. It is headquartered at the First Stamford Place office complex, in Stamford’s Waterside section. About a dozen, including Old Greenwich resident Maiolo, are based at the main offices.
