Administrator of child porn chat group sentenced to 30 years
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A Springfield man who was the administrator of an online chat group in which members shared images and videos of child sexual abuse has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.
The Springfield News-Leader reports that 30-year-old Anthony Cotter was sentenced last week for receiving and distributing child pornography. Cotter admitted to sexually abusing a girl and taking explicit photos of her. The U.S. attorney’s office says photos of the abuse and other child porn were found on his electronic devices.
Federal prosecutors say the chat group he led had about 50 members. They shared child porn of victims as young as infants.
