Arrest in central Greenwich financial crime

GREENWICH — A New York City woman was charged with illegally accessing the checking account of a woman from central Greenwich late last year.

Irma Materasso, 35, of West 124th Street, was booked at police headquarters Wednesday on charge of third-degree larceny, a felony, identity theft and illegal use of a bank card. Police said she took money out of an account and used that person’s name.

She was picked up at the Westchester County (N.Y.) Jail. Bail was set at $50,000.
