Rapid7: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
BOSTON (AP) _ Rapid7 Inc. (RPD) on Tuesday reported a loss of $11.8 million in its third quarter.
The Boston-based company said it had a loss of 25 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 4 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 13 cents per share.
The cybersecurity company posted revenue of $62.4 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $59.7 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Rapid7 expects its results to range from a loss of 10 cents per share to a loss of 8 cents per share.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $65.8 million to $67.2 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.
Rapid7 expects full-year results to range from a loss of 46 cents per share to a loss of 43 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $241.1 million to $242.5 million.
Rapid7 shares have climbed 80 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $33.52, a climb of 86 percent in the last 12 months.
