Milne indicted for injuring daughter
KINGMAN — A Bullhead City man was indicted Tuesday for allegedly injuring a 3-month-old infant.
A Mohave County grand jury indicted Dalton Darius Milne, 22, on two felony counts of child abuse by domestic violence. One of the child abuse counts is a more serious class 2 felony.
Milne is expected to be arraigned on the charges next Wednesday at the Mohave County Jail. His case then will be heard before Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert.
Milne is being held in custody on a $15,000 bond.
Milne was arrested after police were called to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City on Nov. 5 as medical personnel were treating a baby for a brain injury. She was airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital and treated for her injuries.
She since has been released from the hospital, Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said.
Milne reportedly became frustrated with his 3-month-old daughter Nov. 3 because she would not stop crying, and allegedly threw her forcefully onto a hard chair.
The baby’s mother discovered a Google search on her phone by Milne about shaken baby syndrome, Fromelt said.
