Kingston Man Charged With DUI In School Bus Crash

November 30, 2018

WILKES-BARRE — A Kingston man is facing driving under the influence charges after running into a school bus on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police say Ronald Warren, 50, hit a Wilkes-Barre Area School Bus at Park Avenue and Hill Street around 3:20 p.m. Neither the bus driver nor the 14 students aboard the bus were injured, police said.

Warren fled the scene of the crash but was detained by good Samaritans a short distance away, police said.

Police say Warren appeared impaired and was found in possession of heroin, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. He refused a blood test to check for controlled substances, and will be charged with driving under the influence, police said.
