Lowell Student Slightly Hurt When Hit by Mirror of Passing Car
LOWELL -- A child was transported to the hospital after being clipped by a car mirror while trying to get on a school bus near the Morey School Monday morning.
The incident came over police radio reports about 8:30 a.m. as a 7-year-old child struck by a car while trying to get on a school bus.
Police at the scene described the incident as very minor. It is unclear whether the driver, who stayed on scene, will face charges. An officer at the scene was processing the information of the driver of the small black car.
An EMT told a woman, believed to be the child’s mother, who climbed into the back of the ambulance, that he was OK. It appeared the hospital transport may be out of an abundance of caution.
