WVC SOCCER ROUNDUP: Meyers Rallies Past L-L

At Meyers, second-half goals from Ryan Casey and Caden Strobel gave the Mohawks just enough separation for a 3-2 victory over Lake-Lehman in WVC boys soccer.

Anthony Macko also scored for the Mohawks (4-0 Division 2), one of two unbeaten teams remaining in their division. Casey tallied two assists.

Max Paczewski’s goal tied the match before halftime, and Nate Salus found the net in the final four minutes to get Lake-Lehman (2-2-1 Division 2) within one goal of overtime.

At Holy Redeemer, five different Royals found the back of the net.

Lucas Barnak, Antonio Panzak and Nick Smith all scored in the first half for Holy Redeemer (3-4, 2-2 Division 2) while Alex Rymar and Collin Dougherty had second-half tallies.

Barnak had two assists.

Kai Mele scored for MMI Prep (0-5 Division 2).

Eddie Golushka also scored before halftime, and Nick Belles and Matt Lewis doubled the lead for Wyoming Area (4-2-2, 3-2-1 Division 2) after the break.
