State fines Spokane moving not having required permits
A Spokane company is among five residential moving companies fined by Washington state Utilities and Transportation Commission for operating without proper permits.
An administrative law judge with the UTC ordered the companies to suspend residential moving services in February until they obtained the required permits, according to a commission news release.
Spokane-based Mover For You LLC, owned by Mark Sacchetti, was fined $5,000. The company negotiated a settlement of $1,000, with the remaining penalty suspended on the condition it maintains proper permits.
Mover For You’s permits have since been reinstated, the release said.
Sacchetti declined to comment Thursday.
The UTC also fined Galaxy Moving Co LLC, of Everett; Pro Movers LLC, of Vancouver; Stage 7 Pianos, of Kirkland; and Royal Moving, of Brier for failure to obtain permits.
