SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) _ Tracy Woodson homered and doubled, driving in three runs and leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-1 exhibition baseball victory over the Montreal Expos Monday night.

Woodson homered in the fifth inning off loser Neal Heaton and added a two- run double in the sixth as the Dodgers won the opener in an annual two-game series to benefit the Roberto Clemente Sports City.

With the victory, the split squad of Dodgers improved the team’s spring record to 11-1, while Montreal fell to 3-8.

Left-hander Fernando Valenzuela backed Woodson’s effort by pitching five scoreless innings. The veteran southpaw allowed the Expos only two hits, while walking two and striking out one.

Rookie outfielder Ralph Bryant added a solo homer for the Dodgers, while outfielder John Shelby cracked a pair of hits.

First baseman Andres Galarraga scored Montreal’s only run in the seventh inning when he tripled and came in on a ground ball by Alonzo Powell.

Dodgers outfielder Mike Davis sprained his left ankle after he slipped chasing a flyball during batting practice.

The team estimated that Davis would be disabled for at least one week, but reported late Monday that there was no fracture and swelling was at a minimum.
