Federal Signal: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
OAK BROOK, Ill. (AP) _ Federal Signal Corp. (FSS) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $32.8 million.
On a per-share basis, the Oak Brook, Illinois-based company said it had profit of 54 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 55 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 46 cents per share.
The company that makes products ranging from street sweepers to toll booth technology for government, industrial and commercial customers posted revenue of $324.3 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $304.7 million.
Federal Signal expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.64 to $1.72 per share.
Federal Signal shares have increased 46% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 24% in the last 12 months.
