Eagle House Sets October Schedule

Tuesdays, Oct. 2-Nov. 6

1-3 p.m.: Savvy Caregiver is a six-week program for people who care for those with Alzheimer’s or related dementia. A Caregiver’s Manual will be available to each participant. Sponsored by Montachusett Home Health Care. RSVP.

Thursday, Oct. 4

10 a.m.: Living Better Living Longer: Outreach Coordinator Pauline Roy presents “Reading Nutrition Labels.” RSVP.

Friday, Oct. 5

12:45 p.m.: Friday movie is “Book Club.”

Thursday, Oct. 11

9-11 a.m.: Hannaford Pharmacy will sponsor a flu-shot clinic for people ages 65 and over. Bring your insurance information. Vaccinations will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis.

10 a.m.: Living Better Living Longer: Outreach Coordinator Pauline Roy presents “Quick and Easy Cooking: Snacks.”

Wednesday, Oct. 17

4 p.m.: Storytellers/musicians Davis Bates and Roger Tincknell will help celebrate the fall season with traditional and true-life ghost stories, supernatural tales, and songs about harvest and turning of Earth. Grandchildren are invited; free pizza. RSVP.

Thursday, Oct. 18

10-11 a.m.: Living Better Living Longer: Outreach Coordinator Pauline Roy presents “Diabetic Nutrition.”

Friday, Oct. 19

9-10 a.m.: Veterans breakfast served as an opportunity to give thanks to those who have served in the U.S. military. RSVP.

12:45 p.m.: Friday movie is “Dan in Real Life.”

Saturday, Oct. 20

4-7 p.m.: The Eagle House Supporters Ham and Bean Supper. Tickets for adults are $8, children $5. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and homemade desserts.

Thursday, Oct. 25

10-11 a.m.: Living Better Living Longer: Outreach Coordinator Pauline Roy presents “Ways to Boost Your Immune System.”

Friday, Oct. 26

10 a.m.-noon: Memory Cafe is a gathering designed for individuals living with dementia and their caretakers. Special guest this month is beekeeper Pat Aubuchon.

12:45 p.m.: Friday movie is “Hocus Pocus.”
