Private Scandal Wins at Aqueduct

NEW YORK (AP) _ Private Scandal was up in the final stride for a nose victory in Thursday’s $50,000 turf allowance for horses 3 and older.

Old Forester was second of 10, 1 1/4 lengths ahead of Settle Up.

Carrying 121 and Jose Santos, Private Scandal covered 1 1-16 miles in 1:44 to earn $30,000 for Philip Pompa Jr. and return $9.70, $3.70 and $2.50.

Old Forester paid $2.90 and $2.40, and Settle Up was $2.70.
