Travis Shaw homers, Chase Anderson solid as Brewers beat Cubs
Chase Anderson tossed three scoreless innings and Travis Shaw hit a two-run home run in the first inning as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs 7-4 on Saturday in Mesa, Arizona.
Anderson allowed one hit with three strikeouts and one walk in the Cactus League game.
The Brewers (3-6) collected 11 hits as Shaw, Christian Yelich, Tyrone Taylor and Mike Moustakas had two apiece. Shaw and Ben Gamel each drove in two runs.
Shaw homered off Cubs starter Jon Lester, who allowed two runs, three hits and a walk in three innings. He struck out three.
