Fitchburg State announces 3 presidential finalists
FITCHBURG, Mass. (AP) — Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts has announced the three finalists for its president’s job.
The school’s presidential search committee presented the names to the trustees late last week.
They are Carol Bresnahan, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida; Beverly Kopper, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater; and Richard Lapidus, dean of the College of Business Administration at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.
The finalists were selected from a pool of 85 applicants.
They will be brought to campus for interviews and meetings starting Dec. 2.
The school with about 7,000 students is searching for a replacement for Robert Antonucci, who is retiring in June after 12 years on the job.
