Charges: Utah woman ran over relative after graduation fight
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A 30-year-old Utah woman has been charged with running over a female relative with her car after authorities say they argued over a “dirty look” at a kindergarten graduation.
The Deseret News reports Margarita Perez-Hernandez appeared in court Thursday on aggravated assault and other charges.
Court documents say the woman told police Perez-Hernandez was giving her dirty looks at the June 5 ceremony. Afterward, Perez-Hernandez drove to the relative’s house where they started arguing.
Prosecutors say Perez-Hernandez dragged the woman with her car and drove over her. She suffered minor injuries.
Perez-Hernandez told police she didn’t know that she ran anyone over.
Defense attorney Mario Arras said his client had no comment. She is scheduled to reappear in court on August 26
