W-B Crews Battle Blaze, Elements

WILKES-BARRE -- Firefighters put down a blaze on North Main Street in about two hours Thursday in extremely difficult winter weather.

Three people and a dog safely escaped, and a cat is unaccounted for, Fire Chief Jay Delaney said. Two firefighters were injured and went to the hospital for treatment, Delaney said. 

 

The fire department got the dispatch call at 4:23 p.m. The fire was at 256 N. Main St.
