Next stop for depot? Developer talks proposed plans
The Indianapolis-based developer Herman & Kittle Properties, Inc. wants to build 52 apartment units for low- to moderate-income tenants on the vacant property at 705 S. Madison St., where the abandoned railroad depot stands north of Whitehall Industries, Inc. in Ludington.
The development would be called Depot Apartments. It would be four, two-story apartment buildings, including 16 one-bedroom one-bath units, 24 two-bedroom two-bath units and 12 three-bedroom two-bath units, according to the conceptual site plan.
