The American Hockey League’s Laval Rocket has recalled Phelix Martineau from the Komets. However, the Rocket released Marco Roy, who will rejoin Fort Wayne. Roy was scoreless in nine games with Laval.

Also, the Komets have released forward Reid Jackman and defenseman Trey Phillips to make room for their new acquisitions: forward Alexander Katerinakis, defenseman Dalton Hamaliuk and goaltender Jiri Patera.

Katerinakis, 20, recently completed a five-year juniors stint with Blainville-Boisbriand of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He won the 2014 QMJHL Gold Cup championship and amassed 55 goals and 151 points in 261 games.

Hamaliuk, 21, is coming off a five year career in the Western Hockey League, where he totaled 10 goals, 60 points in 279 games. He had four goals and 23 points in 66 games with Moose Jaw this season.
