1 injured at Schuyler’s Cargill facility

One person was injured Monday at the Cargill plant in Schuyler, according to the company.

“The safety of our employees is one of our highest priorities. This situation at Schuyler Monday night was caused by a valve failure during routine maintenance, resulting in the ammonia release and one of our employees being hospitalized for observation, and then released,” the company wrote in a provided statement provided to the Schuyler Sun and The Columbus Telegram. “We are committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our employees throughout our operations.”
