Letter to the editor: Muslim peace mission

November 20, 2018

The caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, a devoutly religious leader, has arrived in the United States. With no political affiliations or a desire to rule, he establishes his territory in the hearts of people -- a caliphate that shines brighter than the sun and enlightens the souls of many millions of Ahmadi Muslims across the globe. He brings an olive branch to the world stage and a yearning for peace -- a sharp contrast to the dark, divisive and destructive so-called caliphate of terrorism in the Middle East.

The system of caliphate was established immediately after the demise of the founder of Islam, Prophet Muhammad, and continued to bring together a unified Muslim community. While the world plunged and suffered the wrath of Dark Ages, the Muslim world was illumined with the light of knowledge, civilian law and order, and trade -- the like of which was never seen before.

Without a leader, Muslims will continue to remain divided on religious and worldly issues. Hence, I humbly implore people of all faiths, Muslim or otherwise, to study the life of this leader by visiting www.Khalifaofislam.com and join our mission toward world peace.
