Simmons First National: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) _ Simmons First National Corp. (SFNC) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $55.9 million.
The Pine Bluff, Arkansas-based bank said it had earnings of 58 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 68 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 60 cents per share.
The bank holding company posted revenue of $235.2 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $189.4 million, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $186.2 million.
Simmons First National shares have decreased nearly 4% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 26% in the last 12 months.
