Six Killed, 10 Injured in Korean Dockyard Explosion
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) _ Six people were killed and 10 seriously injured Monday in an explosion aboard a Norweigan-registered liquefied petroleum gas carrier.
The national Yonhap news agency said the explosion occurred while the 38,770-ton ″Nyhammer″ was undergoing repairs at the Hyundai Mipo dockyard at Ulsan, 185 miles southeast of Seoul.
The Norweigan Embassy and Hyundai confirmed there had been an explosion, but had no details. It was not immediately known what triggered the explosion.
Police said the dead included three foreigners and three Koreans. It was not known what nationality the foreigners were.
