Porch fire destroys vacant New Castle house

A New Castle home was destroyed by fire early Tuesday.

The fire on South Crawford Avenue was reported just before 4 a.m., Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV reported.

Officials said the fire started on a porch and spread to the second floor and through the roof.

The house was believed to be vacant, officials told the station.
