The Shots Were Diving in the Cup at Trull Brook
The same foursome at Trull Brook Golf Club in Tewksbury had members score a hole-in-one and two eagles in a three-hole stretch during a friendly Labor Day round.

Andrew Bierschied scored the hole-in-one, using a pitching wedge to ace the 140-yard par-3 sixth hole.
His playing partners were Dan Blanch, Larry Blanch and Bob Jop.
On the previous hole, the par-4 fifth, Larry Blanch holed out a 190-yard 4-wood for an eagle 2. And on the very next hole, the par-5 seventh, Justin Blanch chipped in from off the green for an eagle 3.
N.E. Senior Amateur
Qualifying for the New England Senior Amateur Championship was held at Atkinson Resort & Country Club last week and medalist honors were earned by Long Meadow Golf Club member Doug Parigian.
The 10-time City Tournament champion shot a 2-over par 74. He shot 2-under 34 on the front nine before giving some shots back.
The N.E. Senior Am, for players 55 and older, will be held Sept. 18-19 at Burlington CC in Vermont.
John Carroll of Indian Ridge and Bill Sheridan of Nashua CC also qualified.
Qualifying for the 2018 Massachusetts Mid-Amateur Championship, being contested from Sept. 12-14 at Plymouth CC, was held last week a Sandwich Hollows Golf Club in East Sandwich.
Among those qualifying were two local players, Shawn Scott of Long Meadow, who shot 74, and David Sullivan III of Vesper, who carded a 76.
Also of note, reigning Mass. Women’s Amateur champ Shannon Johnson of Thorny Lea GC shot 75 to also qualify.

The annual Bandit Tournament was held over the holiday weekend.
In the A Flight Dan McGillicuddy finished on top with a 65. Jean Dubois was second at 67.
In the B Flight Frank Giliberti was the winner with a 62. Tipper Durkin and Eddie Doherty were next at 65
Kitsy Durkin took the women’s Bandit title with a 66. Joan Buckley and Kathy Akashian both shot 70.
In weekend quota events, Chad McClutchy edged Dan Munroe on Sunday, while Al Parke slipped past Keith Ferullo on Monday.
