Downtown ‘Holiday Stroll’ set for tomorrow
HARLINGEN — With one holiday out of the way, it’s time for the next.
The annual downtown Harlingen Holiday Stroll will be held tomorrow from 5 to 8 p.m. and 34 businesses will be participating with holiday sales, refreshments and live music.
You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see the palm trees lit up for Christmas.
“ All the Christmas lights will be ready on the palm trees and also the Christmas tree at Lozano Park,” said Edward Meza, downtown manager. “Everything’s going to be on that evening.
“ There’s going to be music on the stage like last year and we’re going to have Santa,” he added. “Santa’s going to be at the businesses and is available to take pictures. At 6 he’ll stroll down to Southern Beauty Spa and Salon next to the downtown office and customers can come and have their pictures taken with Santa.”
The stroll is the beginning of a busy week downtown, with Art Night set for Friday night and Market Days the next day.
All the events are free and open to the public.
